The University Hospital of Ioannina, which was founded in 1986, is located on Stavrou Niarchos Avenue in Ioannina. Today the Hospital is developed in an area of 68,000 sq.m. and operate almost all the Departments of Pathology, Surgery, Psychiatry and Laboratory of the Medical Service, except those of the Department of Social Medicine, and an additional 132 beds are developed (a total of 760 beds).
