Katogi Averof Winery is located in the village of Metsovo, at an altitude of 1,150 meters. Its history begins in the late 1950s, when Evangelos Averoff plants – the first in Greece – vines of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, on the steep slopes of Pindos and bottles the wine of the name that bears the name of his house in Metsovo.
